Bulbul Yuvasi Boutique Hotel which opened its doors to in 2009, always greets its guests with great pleasure and excitement as if it is always their first day, everyday. It is located by the castle of Foca and right at the foot of the ruins of the early Greek and Roman civilizations.Rooms are prepared with guest's comfort in mind and also decorated with great details which are inspired by the region's ancient history. Each room meets different expectations of its guests due to unique decoration. Each is inspired and named differently after ancient Phokaian colonies. For your choice, some rooms have jacuzzi and others have Turkish bath. Based on Turkish hospitality, the aim is to see the happiness on the faces of guests at the end of their stay. Even it is located on the top of the hill, the hotel has access to swimming piers nearby. Beach towels are provided for your need is a good book to read, enjoy the breeze and take a swim. If lucky, you can even meet a family of dolphins during your swim. The hotel is open year around and one can find many things to do while in the area. The villagers are Selma's friends and with their help you can gather the seasonal harvest and prepare jams, jellies, canned tomatoes, noodles, pickles and olives “salamura”. Fishing is another option to explore; one can even grill and eat its own catch. You can also gather capers that are naturally grown by the hotel, and also find daisies around the corners of the town. Please be considerate to their extinction. We have tours to the farmers markets of the nearby towns such as Foca, Kozbeyli,Yeni Foca, Aliaga and Menemen can be organised by the rezervation desk. There are variety of restaurants in town; some are specialized in local fish and others offer international food menus. Aegean home cooked dishes can also be found in some local restaurants to keep these recipes alive. In addition, you may decide to taste Selma's recipes that she calls " Garden Dishes" including "Bergama Cigirtmasi", Crete Pumpkin and Curd Stuffed Greenpeppers. If you wish, you may also choose to attend to workshops that Selma offers to show how to prepare her special dishes. If you like playing card games, the town has a bridge club when the members meet three times a week to play tournaments. If you prefer reading, the public library has a book club where members meet on Thursdays to talk about the current books and events. Reception staff can also help you to organize daily trips to Ephesus, Sirince, Cesme,Izmir, Dikili and Pergamon for sightseeing, exploring or shopping. Please make it sure to do your reservations beforehand. For your transfer, you can also use the new metro systems to get to Foca from the airport or you can request to be pick up and drop off to where and when you like.
